Our 1st morning in Calgary, having a posh breakfast at the top of the
Calgary Tower with our mate the friendly biker behind me.
He told us all about the city and was brilliant company.

Jet-lagged, Dazed…..and confused in Calgary.

My famous cloud picture….I love this one. It
was taken near Banff, Alberta.

The road leading to the beautiful…and oddly named, Lake Minnewanka with
Mount Rundle behind it.

Me and mum at the top of Sulphur Mountain, an old cosmic ray
research centre.

Me, mum and Alan at the top of Sulphur Mountain…..notice I have the devil
stood across from me…nice horns. Also…mum is confused over whether she
is holding a coffee…or a Guinness.

A beautiful picture of the Bow River with the Railway following it.

One of the many mountains towering above Lake Minnewanka.

My favourite mountain in the whole world: Castle Mountain, in the Canadian
Rockies…. The photo doesn’t show just how incredible this mountain is.

The famous and scenic Lake Louise.

Me, sitting on a rock, wondering just how cold
the water in Lake Louise is.

Lake Louise again. The water is that milky colour because it is glacier-fed
so rock flour (caused by the movement of the glacier) is washed into the Lake.
It is suspended about 15 feet under the surface….giving it that lovely turquoise
colour.

Yes….it’s official….it’s cold. The water is so
cold that would take just minutes for hypothermia
to set in if you were to fall in. The First Nations myth
tells of an evil spirit living in the lake which would
grab an unsuspecting victim’s ankles and pull them
under the surface.

Me and dad admiring the view over Moraine
Lake.…..I could have sat there all day. Mind
you… only if there were other people around
as we were in Grizzly Bear territory.

The intrepid explorers…..actually, me, mum
and Alan on Moraine lake.

Elk!!!!! Elk are actually more dangerous than Grizzly bears….When I saw
those antlers head on….I understood why.

The incredibly powerful Athabasca Falls….
If you fell in there you wouldn’t stand a chance.

Mum and her toyboy….Ha ha ha. That is the lovely Mike, from Saskatoon,
who we went out for a day with. All the woman adored him….and so they
should!

The snocoach road onto the Athabasca Glacier…
believe me…it was cold up there.

A Waterfall in Jasper National Park….we
can’t work out which waterfall it is though.
